Freedom Eyebrow Pomade Review and Try On

Hi there!

Today I thought I'd do a review on a recent purchase of mine: the Freedom Eyebrow Pomade!

I have wanted to try this for a while now, as I have heard great things about it and obviously as it is such a famous dupe for the extremely popular Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade, (and because I needed a new eyebrow product as I am running low on my ABH Brow Definer) I thought I'd pick it up! So I ordered it on Superdrug for only £5! (which in comparison to £15 for the ABH Dipbrow Pomade, saves a hell of a lot of dolla!)

Thoughts on the Eyebrow Pomade

When I first opened the packaging, my first impressions were that it didn't seem like you got very much product; the pot seemed quite shallow and it didn't appear to contain much product; however I now know that a little goes a long way with this pomade, plus for a fiver I didn't really mind too much! To put it into perspective, you get 2.5g whereas the ABH Dipbrow Pomade contains 4g, however the Freedom one is still better value for money.

The shade I chose was Medium Brown, and for me this shade is perfect! I would describe my hair as a medium shade of brown, and since my eyebrows are basically non-existent as they are very light, it really helps to bring them out and sculpt them.

Medium Brown - it's also available in a variety of other shades

I've been using this for 6 weeks now and I have barely used any (I would've used even less only that my niece used some and went a little overboard haha)

The pomade is very quick and easy to use; I find that I can do my eyebrows in about 5 minutes (or less if I'm in a hurry) with this, whereas with my ABH Brow Definer it takes much longer.

One thing I have noticed about this product however, is that it can appear ever so slightly patchy if you keep applying it over and over the more sparse areas whilst doing your eyebrows. I have also noticed that it can slightly fade on sparse areas, however unless you rub or itch these areas repetitively, it does not tend to come off. My eyebrows generally look as good at the end of the day as they did when I first do them using the pomade.

When I first seen the Freedom pomade in Superdrug, they had displayed them without the lids, and I noticed that all of the ones on display had dried up, however I imagine any eyebrow pomade would do the same if the air got to it. For me, who always ends up rushing out the door before uni without having time to clear away my makeup this isn't the best thing, however I have actually ran out the door and left the pomade without it's lid on a good few occasions and it hasn't dried up, so I'd imagine it would have to be left for a good while before it would dry out, plus I would imagine if you used setting spray on your brush or spray it into the pot should your pomade dry out, it would be easily revived.

Trying on the Product

These are my natural brows with no product on: (please excuse how scary I look haha)

These are my brows with the Freedom Eyebrow Pomade applied:

As you can probably see, the pomade does an amazing job at defining and shaping my brows!

Overall, I think this product is amazing; it is super inexpensive, works super well, and I will definitely be repurchasing it!

I hope this review helps :)
